THOMAS MURPHY'S PUB
Thomas Murphy's Pub features two floors, including an open-space upstairs with a number of TVs that are perfect for viewing sporting events and larger gatherings, when both resume. The restaurant and bar contains 160 seats, which includes 55 seats at three bars, as well as 18 flatscreen TVs. Thomas Murphy's contains a state-of-the-art beer tap system with 16 beers on draft, including five craft beers and several local craft brews. The expanded downstairs bar offers a number of hard-to-find Irish whiskeys and bourbons as well as a specialty cocktail menu for those looking to stay with the Irish pub vibe.
Thomas Murphy's Pub has engaged Rueben "Big Rube" Harley, Philly’s beloved "fried chicken master," to sell his signature fried chicken and fried chicken sandwiches.
Harley, a pop-up chef and photographer, is known locally and nationally for putting the Mitchell & Ness Nostalgia Company on the map in 2001. A West Philly native, Harley started a catering business selling fried chicken and other comfort foods in hair salons and barbershops around the city in the mid-90s, and is a regular contributor on SportsRadio 94WIP.
